Grzegorz Antonowicz

Grzegorz Antonowicz is an Attorney-at-Law and Head of the IP and IT practices at Baker Tilly Legal Poland. He specializes in intellectual and industrial property law, competition law, new technologies, and IT project advisory.

For many years, he has advised businesses on the protection, management, and commercialization of intangible assets. He supports clients in developing and implementing brand and IP protection strategies, managing IP portfolios, safeguarding know-how and trade secrets, as well as registering and protecting trademarks and industrial designs. He conducts IP audits and leads projects involving the transfer and licensing of copyright and industrial property rights.

He has extensive experience in handling technology-driven projects. He advises on the design and implementation of IT systems, drafts and negotiates implementation, outsourcing, and licensing agreements, develops software licensing models, and supports clients in projects carried out under public procurement regulations. He also advises entities in the media, e-commerce, and new technologies sectors on copyright matters, including the protection and exploitation of digital content in the online environment.

He represents clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings, particularly in cases involving infringement of intellectual property rights, personal rights, and corporate reputation.

He also advises on competition and consumer protection law, especially where these areas intersect with IP and IT — including distribution networks and discount policies, acts of unfair competition, product and design imitation, and compliance of marketing communications and standard terms with applicable regulations.

Prior to joining Baker Tilly Legal Poland, he was responsible for developing the IP and new technologies practice for over a decade at a renowned law and tax firm.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and completed his legal training with the Poznań Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law.
