Jakub Kutzmann

Jakub Kutzmann is an advocate and a partner at Baker Tilly Legal Poland, where he heads the real estate practice. He has over 20 years of experience advising on some of the largest real estate transactions in the Central European market.

He specialises in share and asset deals, joint venture projects, corporate reorganisations, as well as the financing of commercial real estate projects and portfolios. He advises institutional clients investing, among others, in the office, retail, logistics, data centre, energy storage and residential real estate sectors.

Drawing on extensive experience gained both in international law firms and within large corporate groups, he combines a legal advisory perspective with a practical, business-oriented approach typical of in-house environments.

The team he leads also supports clients in matters related to commercialisation and asset management, regulatory issues, construction and administrative law, as well as disputes arising from real estate investments.

Jakub Kutzmann was recommended in leading international legal rankings, including Legal 500 and Chambers Europe, and has also been recognised as one of the leading real estate lawyers in the “Rzeczpospolita” law firm ranking, one of Poland’s leading legal market rankings published by a national daily newspaper.

Within Baker Tilly Legal Poland, he co-creates and develops the French Desk, providing legal advice to French-speaking clients.

He is a graduate of the European University of Law and Administration in Warsaw and also studied political science at the University of Warsaw. He completed an English law course at the University of Cambridge, as well as a European law and moot court programme organised by the University of Cologne and Sciences Po in Paris. He is a member of the Warsaw Bar Association.
