Katarzyna Chwalbińska-Kusek

Katarzyna is a Partner and leader of the ESG Advisory business line at Baker Tilly TPA. For almost 20 years, she has been advising Polish and international clients on sustainable development, focusing on the creation and implementation of ESG strategies, decarbonisation, climate risk management and reporting in accordance with EU regulations, such as the CSRD Directive and the EU Taxonomy.

She gained her experience at a global real estate consulting firm, where she built and led an ESG team and was responsible for the company's strategy and reporting. She has supported leading developers, investment funds and property owners in Central and Eastern Europe in integrating ESG into their business operations. She participated as a sustainability advisor in the largest real estate transaction in Poland in 2023.

She has extensive expertise in preparing companies for compliance with ESG regulatory requirements and in building business resilience through the implementation of standards such as GRI. She also led business development in Europe for an international engineering consulting firm and has previously worked with the Urban Land Institute, WBCSD and the European Climate Foundation, among others.

She is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, Westminster Business School in London and Lazarski University. In 2023, she chaired the team for sectoral guidelines for the EU Taxonomy at the Ministry of Development and Technology.

She is fluent in English and Polish and also communicates in French at a business level.
